Traffic accident on a bicycle, scooter or motorbike

 If you have been injured in a bicycle, scooter or motorbike accident in which you were hit by another party or knocked off your vehicle while driving, you may receive compensatory damage for the accident.

There are certain things you need to do to increase your chances of a successful claim. The steps you take after your accident, however, can have a direct impact on the outcome of your claim. That is why you should contact us at Sparta Legal as soon as possible.

First and foremost, of course, you will need to seek medical help. You must ensure first of all that your injuries are not worse than they appear. Even if you are able to get back on your bicycle and drive off unhurt, injuries such as spinal cord trauma or brain damage may not occur immediately after your collision. Next, you should at least try to take the following steps:

  • Immediately after the bicycle accident you should, if possible, get off the road and out of the danger zone. Evaluate your injuries and call an ambulance, or ask someone to call an ambulance if you are seriously injured. In the meantime, ask the people around you if they have seen what happened and if they are prepared to come forward as witnesses. Ask for their contact details;
  • Also ask for the contact information of others involved in the accident. Write down the number plate details if a vehicle was involved, as well as the name, address and insurance details of the other party;
  • Take photographs of the scene of the accident and of the damage to your means of transport and the vehicle with your telephone if you have one with you;
  • Keep a copy of the police report. This may serve as evidence when we make a claim for you.

We will do the rest for you so that you can focus on your recovery. Sparta Legal fights for your rights. Completely free of charge.
